about

So this is by my count the 14th song we’ve recorded and released during lockdown. And on a personal note it’s the one I am most pleased with to date and the closest to how I envisaged Isaac Brutal and The Trailer Trash Express sounding. This was written by Kenny Mackay and myself back in 1988 (when reruns of Mr. Edd probably still made it a relevant pop cultural reference) - it also covered racial unrest, albeit in our own unique fashion, so obviously nothing much has changed in the interim. We recorded it under the guise of The Ted Bundy Experience and after numerous setbacks it had a limited release in 2001. Guitar wise it was the most challenging for me having only contributed bass on the original but conversely it turned out to be one of the quickest to record. Graham’s on top form with his lead contributions and I have to commend his production on this achieving the wide, epic western feel that compliments the song to perfection. All topped off with Andrews atmospheric Hammond Organ. My only hope is Kenny isn’t too horrified or at the very least he listens to it 😂😎
